When to Use a Mobile Phone Spyware

Human beings are naturally sociable species and express this characteristic through various means of interaction with one another. One way of social expression that can be considered unique to man is communication. In fact, interconnection through communication with one another can be considered as one of the major foundations of human society. A proof humanity's attachment with communication as a process of socialization and interaction is the development of technologies that assist and enhance the transmission and delivery of messages. The past few years, for instance, have seen the birth of modern developments in communication technologies, most notably in the field of mobile telephony.

These recent advances in the field of communications technology points to one facet of the human communication process, that is, creativity. And since it is a creative activity, freedom is among the factors that are needed to make it an effective means of socialization. That is to say, humanity in general and social groups in particular should not feel restricted in order to express themselves effectively in the mutual process of communication. Freedom as a requirement for communication is universally acknowledged across all types of human societies. This can explain the ever increasing speeds of development in the field of communication gadgetries.

The astronomical growth of the mobile phone industry can be attributed both to the fact that people constantly needs to connect with one another through updated communications as much as they are attached to novel technological developments. Any innovation in communication devices introduced in the market, therefore, is sure to get the support of the consuming public. It comes as no surprise then that the very first mobile phone to be released made a hit in the market despite the fact that it offered limited functionality which is that of being able to make a call whenever and wherever its user may be. The only difference it had with the traditional landline telephony is that its user can bring it anywhere.

As it is part of human nature to create and innovate, mobile phone companies have perceived consumer's needs for a better device and come up with a better version of the first mobile phones, incorporating text messaging capability in addition to the traditional voice call feature. Later developments have also added a pack of entertainment features, such as multimedia functionalities like cameras and music players. As internet has developed in a very rapid pace and affected every aspect of peoples lives, ranging from personal to professional matters, the demand for devices that can help cope up with these developments has also grown. This has brought about the era of Smart Phones, which are mobile phones that are enabled to browse the internet, apart from making voice calls and text messages.

Unfortunately, however, there are people who are up to using these technological advances in communication in an unscrupulous manner. It is a fact that in any organization, or society for that matter, there are individuals who go against what is acceptable to the organization in particular and the society in general. In the field of business, for example, you might be employing a person who is not as loyal to your company as you may think. They may be spying on you for your competitors and transmitting critical information that could be a matter of life and death for your business.

How can you be so sure that your employees' loyalty and integrity to your company are in check? Put another way, how can you check on your employees' loyalty without appearing to be authoritarian, or at the least, endangering your working relationship with your employees, who may, after all, be loyal to your company? Some have solved this dilemma by resorting to the prudent use of spying software. These software can be downloaded right into the phone targeted for spying and off it goes running in the background recording and transmitting data which you can then view from a secure server. The advantage with this is that you are getting the information you need without the target phone's user knowing that he or she is being tracked. While this activity may indeed confirm the loyalty of your employees, it can also avert any painful losses to your company if it proves that your suspicions are true, thereby enabling you to act on the matter immediately and thus saving your business from a real headache.

Your Budget Mobile Phone

Very few people are actually satisfied with their mobile phone plan. The numbers of customers churning to new plans and providers are testament to this. Whether it is the service you aren't completely satisfied with, the fact that they charge you too much per call, don't offer you enough call credit or the prepaid credit simply runs out too early, the fact is that people are likely to move every two - three years.

Following a recent poll on our website recently, customers voted two key concerns they had with their mobile phone plan. Contract mobile phone plans offered very little by way of protection from what is well known as "Bill Shock". The second was that even when prepaid was the plan type they selected, having to recharge every month had become quite a nuisance. Furthermore it reminded them of how much they were actually spending.

There are a few solutions that customers can look into that can assist. The launch and popularity of unlimited plans has given many customers the option of a plan that will cover all of their call costs each month with one flat fee. For around $40 each month they can make unlimited local fixed line calls, mobile calls and SMS as many times as they like. These plans tend to also cover 13/1800 number calls too and come with a reasonable data allowance.

Whilst they can assist with "Bill Shock", they don't altogether entirely prevent it. Spend too much on overseas calls, or download too much data and you could still face the unpleasant bill at the end of the month. These are exceptions though so for most people, the "Unlimited" offer should suite them just fine.

Look at plans offered by the likes of Amaysim, Crazy Johns, Lebara Mobile, Dodo, Savvytel. All of these providers offer an "Unlimited' option.

What about those customers who find their prepaid credit simply runs out too soon. The greatest benefit offered by the prepaid mobile plan is that it protects you from overspending. You can only spend what you recharge. So whilst recharging can be annoying it is also your security blanket.

There are a few plans out there however which will give you the protection of prepaid but also remove the risk of running out of credit. Plans offered by the likes of "Red Bull Mobile" give you the ability to recharge once each year and then have access to unlimited local, fixed line calls plus SMS for an entire 12 months. With this also comes a large allowance of internet access.

With any plan and any provider it always pays to do your research. Jump on the forums, speak to your friends and find out what their experience has been. Find out if their service experience has been good, the reception where they live strong.

If you do your homework you are much more likely to pick the right plan and also win when it comes to budgeting for your mobile phone costs.

The GSM Desktop Phone: A Desktop Phone With a SIM Card Instead of a Landline, Offering Many Benefits

Even though smart mobile phones have conquered the world and are in almost everybody's hands today while on the move, regular fixed phones strongly remain part of everybody's daily environment, at home, in the office, in hotels, in conference zones etc... The reason is simply the comfort these fixed devices provide: large LCD displays, quality speakers, possibility to connect a quality headset, large buttons, full "qwerty" keyboards and a bunch of office functionalities such as display of caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, call transfer, conference calls, turning these communication devices into a Switchboard PBX Solution.

While the connectivity of many desktop phones is still provided by regular landlines, a new concept has emerged with the development of the GSM cell phone communication worldwide and has established itself as strong challenger: the GSM Desktop Phone, which is a desktop phone whose connectivity is provided through a SIM card (the card you get from your GSM mobile operator to insert in your GSM mobile phone) instead of a landline, offering many benefits for users:

GSM Desktop Phones have increasingly become popular since many international mobile operators started to offer them as an alternative to regular mobile phones, especially to small and medium companies, for which it represents an ideal alternative to regular landline communication systems, offering fixed and mobile communication to all employees, under one single and attractive subscription contract.

A further brilliant application of GSM Desktop Phones has emerged in the security and remote control area, a radio module being inserted in the device and turning it into a GSM Alarm and Control System, able to connect wirelessly with a number of detectors and remote control devices inside a house or an office, and to send alarm messages to or receive orders from any GSM mobile phone.

In conclusion, the GSM Desktop Phone is a great alternative to regular landline desktop phones, offering a unique combination of the desktop phone's features such as LCD displays, quality speakers, large buttons, full keyboards etc... with the benefits provided by a mobile subscription, making it ideal for home & family, remote locations, boats, construction sites, small to medium companies etc...Furthermore, it provides a unique solution for the security and remote control of houses and offices.

The iPhone 5 Will Be A Significant Release

The iPhone 5 will be one of the most significant releases of this year and will end much anticipation as to what technical features or specifications the handset will offer. However, in the time leading up to its release it is still possible to ascertain from the widespread rumours and the features of the iPhone 4S as to what this handset may bring.

The handset is most likely to look similar to its nearest predecessor although one rumour has suggested that the Retina display may be increased in size from 3.5 inches up to 4 respectively. This would be more advantageous especially as more people move to the iPhone for its Game Center providing gaming along with those who love to watch movies and TV shows on their smartphone. Gaming is already taking off for the phone series as the Center enables you to find friends and make new ones in order to play form a wide range of games. This social gaming is likely to get better still for this handset especially as it is about to come to the Mac desktop environment also. For example you can play games such as Chess with a friend on your phone or invite someone you do not know to play against you, the leader board then displays each of your results.

The iPhone 5 will also possibly bring the launch of the next iOS operating platform which the handsets, as well as iPad and iPod Touch, are all running. This would be iOS 6 and as we have seen particularly with new releases in this phone series, a totally new number tends to mean a totally new iOS number as well. This would all coincide nicely with a new processor as well, and with other manufacturers now releasing quad core powered phones are Apple going to only move to dual core or go the whole way? This is the same question for the main camera, which we would assume to be at least 12 megapixels and accompanied by a dual LED flash. What is for sure is that full High Definition video will be possible.

Having looked at some of the possible features of the iPhone 5 it is clear that it will be the next best thing for any phone user to have. Less certain is what exactly the next best thing is going to consist of, but if any of these rumours are true, it will be something great.

Top 5 Ways to Detect Mobile Phone Spyware

Recent advances in communications technology has made possible the spying of a mobile phone without its owner being aware that someone is tapping or tracking his or her phone. With sophisticated technology that has brought about undetectable spy software, how can you determine if someone is eavesdropping on your mobile phone? The following are factors to be considered when you are in doubt as to whether your phone is being tracked or not:

1) Has Someone Borrowed Your Phone? Physical access is the only way for anyone to install spy software on your phone. It takes only a couple of minutes to have most spyware installed on a mobile phone, so if you have let anyone borrow yours for reasons ranging from making a call to downloading a new ringtone or game, then it is certain that your phone is at risk. However, if you haven't let anyone have access to your phone, then you can be sure that you are safe from mobile phone spyware.

2) Sudden Rise in Mobile Phone Bills. An unusual increase of amount in your phone bill can be an indicator of a spyware having been installed in your system. How so? Spyware applications transfers recorded data through connections such as GPRS. This translates to a sudden increase in your bill especially if you don't usually use your phone for browsing the web. A sudden increase in your bill resulting from unusual data traffic, therefore, can be considered as indicative of a spyware being present in your phone.

3) Sudden Decrease in Phone Standby or Talk Time. If your phone is performing badly in terms of standby or talk time for no apparent reason at all, it could be another sign of spying software. The reason for this is that spywares continuously run in the background to collect data at regular intervals. It then uploads the data it has recorded such as incoming and outgoing text messages, call events, and GPS locations to a secured remote server for viewing by the person who installed the software. That person in question can then have access to logs and everything that is recorded on your phone. Of course, the data transmission from your phone to the server consumes a lot of energy, which you experience as a sudden drop in your battery life, resulting in a lower than usual standby and talk time.

4) Difficulties in Shut Down. Because a spyware application continuously runs in the background, it can cause a problem when you are trying to shut down. That is to say, it can make your phone unresponsive to shut down operation. It is just like trying to shut down your computer but it doesn't respond because a program is still running, making Windows unresponsive to the shut down command. It is the very same thing that happens when a spyware has been installed on your phone.

5) Web Icons. Mobile phone spywares transfer data to servers through an internet connection. Most mobile phones display an icon to indicate that an internet connection is taking place, so if you notice that your phone is flashing a web connection icon even when you are not doing any web browsing activity from your phone, then it a good sign that a spyware is operating on your phone.

So how can you avert the risk that a spyware poses when you are sure that your phone has indeed been installed with it? The only way is by removing the software from your phone, which can be done by having its operating system reinstalled at the place where you bought it. The list above considers only the most common signs of a spyware operating on your phone. This means that since individuals uses mobile phones in several different ways, one cannot be 100% certain whether a spyware has been installed or not on their phones. So the best way of avoiding this scenario is by taking extreme caution, making sure that nobody has access to your phone at all times. One way to do this is by locking your phone with a user PIN, apart from tightly watching it for any unusual behavior.

Where to Discuss the Best iPhone Apps and Best Android Apps

Find a place to discuss apps

Getting information on where to get new applications for your smartphone without someone trying to sell you a product can be tricky business unless you know the places to look. A lot of the more popular ones come about from word of mouth and recommendation from friends and colleagues. However it wouldn't it be nice to get a place to hang out and discuss the newest and most popular apps on the market.

There is plenty of content online and marketing campaigns to lure people in to buy apps, but a much safer bet is to do some research on the product you are looking for first of all. Such a place to do this would be a web forum or blog in order to get information and advice.

Why discuss apps?

Applications for smart phone products cost money and do not offer a refund from when it is purchased. Therefore it is important that the correct item is bought initially. This is particularly relevant when it comes to Apple and iTunes products as uninstalling the item or removing it from your iTunes account can prove nearly impossible. Once bought, it remains.

Another reason to discuss before purchase is that some items do not come cheap and can cost a tidy sum only for the customer to find out that it does not do the required function or does not quite meet the standards that they were expecting. Because of this, it is important to discuss the purchase of these types of products before hand, or at least try and get some advice on them before handing over the virtual cash.

This is where online communities and forums come in to their element.

Forums for information

With a web forum it is likely that pin pointing the requirements you need in a smartphone application can be filtered through to the particular device you have. Therefore this means if your device is an iPhone, you can ask other Apple users their thoughts on the product and what they would recommend as an alternative. Again, there is probably a place that Android users can turn to also to get their sources on the best free apps for example.

Friendly forum communities such as App Talk allow like minded individuals to gain the knowledge about applications before proceeding with a purchase and help others with help and advice along the way.

Unlimited Mobile Data Plans: How To Find The Right One

Mobile data plans are increasingly becoming an integral part of mobile phone contracts offered by providers in the UK. Allowing users to browse the web, download files and keep up-to-date with their social networking profiles wherever they are, provided they have sufficient signal, with more and more services and retailer making their products available online, there has never been a better time to sign up to a mobile contract that would allow you to do the same.

There are even unlimited mobile data plans available from certain mobile networks. While most data plans will charge you a set price per MB (megabyte) you go over your data allowance, unlimited data plans allow you to access music and video and download files from the internet at your leisure. Some implement 'fair use' policies and will either slow you connection speed or stop you from downloading more data if they feel your usage is effecting the quality of connection other users in the area are experiencing or if you are downloading GBs (gigabytes) of data on a daily basis.

A truly unlimited mobile data plan will set you back a minimum of £50 per month at the moment. All cheaper data plans are subject to limits or restrictions under fair use policies. To check how much data you would need to access to implement these restrictions, a visit to a price comparison site can be extremely useful. On these sites you can browse the contracts available from each network and find out both what the data plan on each costs and how much data you will be able to access each month.

If you have your eye on a specific make and model of smartphone, you can use a mobile comparison site to find out which deals give you the phone for free and which would require a payment to allow you the handset. If you want a top-of-the-range smartphone but do not want to be tied into a lengthly contract, you may be better off looking at 'SIM-only' deals. While the network you sign up with will not provide you with a phone on one of these contracts (hence the name), you are free to buy any handset you like, although you will have to pay full price which can be hundreds of pounds.

Most mobile contracts that provide you with a shiny new smartphone run for a minimum of 24 months. The higher the monthly line rental and data charges, the more phone calling, messaging and mobile web browsing you can do.

People on tight monthly budgets can also find great handsets and contracts that will give them access to mobile broadband services. It may take a little more research to find something suitable, that's all.

If you are about to decide on the best mobile network for your needs, pay a visit to Mobile Choices. Or maybe you have bought a phone and are wondering 'who offers the best coverage for my new mobile ', one visit to Mobile Choices will provide the answer.

Phone or Fashion?

More people on this earth now have access to mobile phones than have access to running water and toilets. There are an estimated 4.2 Billion people who have a toothbrush and 4.6 billion who have a mobile subscription! It takes 26 hours for the average person to report a lost wallet. It takes 68 minutes for them to report a lost phone. In some countries, there are more mobile subscriptions than there are people. These statistics alone show how much importance is placed on mobiles in today's climate.

Mobile phones are now the new fashion accessory. The marketing and advertising industry has influenced how people perceive their mobile phones. This is to adapt to the changing demands of modern life and to draw in new users from different generations. The Korean company LG for example, is making a big sale in the worldwide market with their high end fashion phones.

Many consumers are beginning to identify their personality and individuality with the type of phone or model they carry. Just as many plan their wardrobe for the season ahead, they also accessorise their mobile phone with accessories.

Gone are the days of your gsm phone merely being a tool to keep in touch with loved ones and send lunchtime text messages to your friends. These days, mobile phones are as much a part of your own personal look as the kinds of shoes you wear. People are looking and, whether they mean to or not, are silently judging your choice of phone cover, color, and type.

In the same way that consumers mix and match their wardrobes, mobile phones are offered with inifinite possibilities of customisation (apps, widgets, ringtones, covers, themes, etc) that allow you to perfectly co-ordinate your phone to match your mood and your wardrobe.

Take a look at the next stylish person you see walking down the street on the phone. I bet they're not clutching a retro Nokia 3210 to their ear. It's probably an LG phone, or some other clever Android device with curves that bring out the best in their hands...

Now be honest, how many of us meticulously check the spec to find out which gadget is the best? If they're halfway similar then I reckon most people would just go for the one that looks best. It's important now to get the thinnest, shiniest, best looking fashion phone available.

A fashion phone is a statement. Some of these high end fashion accessories are sure to turn some heads and tell onlookers you're well off. Sometimes functionality alone doesn't cut it - you need to dress for the occasion. That used to mean a watch, cufflinks, ties and such but now you need a phone too.

In the past, mobile phones were kept in people's pockets but it is not unusual now to see almost everyone walking around with a phone clutched in their hand. Needless to say, in the current climate, the importance of appearing trendy is paramount to most consumers from tweens to teens and adults.

Janet Wong has a keen interest in fashion and gives local fashion wardrobe advice to teens and adults.
